Terms of service · early-access draft

The plain-language version.

Below are the working terms for early access. The legal version is being drafted and will replace this before we open public signups. If you have a real legal concern with anything below, email legal@oncology.scirouter.ai and we'll address it specifically.

What this is

SciRouter Oncology is a clinical decision-support tool. It surfaces evidence to inform a licensed veterinarian's decision. It is not a diagnostic device, it does not prescribe, and the prescribing veterinarian retains full clinical and legal responsibility for any treatment decision.

Who can use it

Owners of dogs in the United States. Veterinarians licensed in any US state. Veterinary teaching hospitals via institutional agreement. EU and Canadian rollout is on the roadmap; we'll add the country-specific addenda before opening those geographies.

What you own

You own your dog's record. We act as a custodian. You can export everything in JSON and PDF at any time, delete everything within 24 hours of asking, and revoke any third-party share immediately.

What we do with the data

Day-to-day operations: we store, route through analysis pipelines, surface to your authorized vet(s), and send you the reminders you signed up for. Research: only if you opt in, and only de-identified records, which never include your name, your dog's name, microchip, or exact dates. Marketing: only the audience(s) you explicitly opted into.

Veterinary scope of practice

State veterinary practice acts vary. SciRouter Oncology is configured to recommend consultation with a licensed veterinarian for any treatment decision. We do not establish a veterinary-client-patient relationship (VCPR) — that is exclusively between you and your veterinarian. The portal supports your existing VCPR; it does not replace it.

Payment & insurance

Owner accounts are free. Some optional services (genomic profiling, personalized mRNA neoantigen vaccines) carry per-case fees disclosed before any work begins. Insurance reimbursement estimates are based on policy data your carrier provides via API; the actual reimbursement is determined by your carrier, not by us. Disputes go through your carrier's standard process.

Liability

Our liability for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid SciRouter Oncology in the prior 12 months, except where prohibited by law. We carry product liability and professional liability insurance commensurate with our role as a decision-support tool.

Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can close an account for non-payment of paid services, abuse of the service, or for legal compliance. In all termination scenarios you retain the right to export and delete your dog's record.

Disputes

We'd rather talk than litigate. Email legal@oncology.scirouter.ai first. Formal disputes are arbitrated under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in San Mateo County, California, except for claims you may bring in small-claims court.

Changes

We'll email registered users at least 30 days before any material change to these terms. Continued use after the change date counts as acceptance.
