What we collect
When you sign up for the SciRouter Vet pet parent portal, we collect: your email address (required), your pet's profile if you choose to share it (breed, age, weight, current diagnosis), your saved articles + trials, your journal entries, photos you upload, lab results you upload, and the questions you ask our AI.
What we do with it
We use your data to deliver the service you signed up for. Specifically: we send you trial alerts that match your pet, we personalize the AI Q&A to your dog's situation (only with your explicit consent), and we email you product updates. We never sell your data. We never share your data with third parties for their marketing.
Aggregate, de-identified data
We may use aggregate, de-identified data from across the user base to improve our AI models and to publish summary statistics. This work is reviewed by our team before it goes anywhere external, and your individual data is not identifiable in the output.
Your rights
- Export everything we have about you, any time, from your account settings.
- Delete your account and all your data, one click. We honor this immediately.
- Unsubscribe from any non-essential email with the link at the bottom.
- GDPR / CCPA / state privacy law equivalents — you have the rights those laws give you. Use the contact form and mention "Privacy" in the message.
For partner institutions
If you're a vet school, referral hospital, or pharma partner: separately negotiated data-processing agreement (DPA) governs your relationship with us. See /legal/dpa for the template.
Cookies + analytics
We use Plausible (marketing analytics, no personal identifiers) and PostHog (product analytics, account-scoped). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, social-network pixels, or session-replay tools.
Contact
Questions, complaints, or requests: use the contact form and mention "Privacy" in the message. We respond within five business days.
When this changes
If we change this policy in a way that meaningfully affects how we handle your data, we'll email registered users at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. The pre-change version is always archived.
